CharacterCrafts Clay Charms

My first foray into using clay was with Makins Air Dry Clay.  I brought a small pack of mixed colours, which are ideal when you want a solid colour for the base of the design, that you can add elements of other colours to, for example my Holly Earrings and Christmas Tree Pin:

However, for my more intricate designs, such as my figure skates, I use white Fimo Light Air Dry Clay.  I opted for using plain white so I can paint the fine details on by hand, such as the tiny laces on these skates:

I've found the light weight clay to be ideal for my designs as it means that a pair of earrings containing  quite a bit of clay, such as my snowmen, aren't too heavy and are quite comfortable to wear.

I'm continually expanding my range of clay charms as inspiration strikes me, or when I receive a customised order for a new design.
